This young lady graduated from my alma mater and Wake Forest Law School. She was a Miss USA winner, a successful attorney, a correspondent for multiple nationally televised programs and she resided in one of the most expensive zip codes in the country. By all accounts she was a successful young woman.
And yet her social media was littered with narratives that detailed how this country was systemically racist and how she was oppressed. Her own life story was proof that two of her most important beliefs were lies. This cannot be healthy for anyone's psyche.

Well, that's a shame. Pretty girl, beautiful hair, successful. RIP.

Her blood should be on CNN's hands.
They've pushed this non existent "race and oppression" bullshite narrative so far that it affects real lives.
She was told over and over again that because she was black she HAD to be oppressed and also, while not explicitly saying it, her life wasn't as worthy as whites.
frick the media and their country dividing mission.

They're downvoting the story because it's sad, not because they dislike you.

Two pages in and no “wish she would’ve landed on me”?

I don't believe this story. Not one word.

OP divided tOT with his previous thread and defense so he will likely have some random DVs for a while not related to topic.

I knew a woman who jumped from way up off a building in Manhattan. She had been involuntarily committed, and the facility somehow let her get out before the 72 hours. She went home and threw herself off her building

Have some examples?

Her father was white, serious mental issues
Sad to see. So many mixed children appear to overcompensate to prove their "blackness" to everyone. See Colin Kaepernick and Barack Obama.
I have a step granddaughter who is mixed and this seems to be a fairly common thing with children of mixed black and white parentage.
Ever since the George Floyd thing happened she has gone off the deep end with the white supremacy/BLM/systemic racism thing on social media.
So much so that she has cut us off, her white family, because we don't "understand how it feels to be black and all the struggles her people go through everyday." Pure victimhood and sad since her white family was her only
real support and the only family she knew for most of her life.
Only since the summer of 2020 has her black father decided to come back into her life, through social media, after 22 years of no contact, and she now is all in on her black identity and rejection of her white side.
Hopefully my granddaughter will ultimately deal with it better than it seems this woman was able to. I worry she won't, even with the support and love we provided her as she grew up.
I fear though, that the sense of belonging they think they will find in being the "victim" is a false hope and does nothing to change the underlying issues of identity and being comfortable in their own skin, so to speak.
Sorry for the novel, but when I see stories like this it bothers me because, like my granddaughter, this was a smart, beautiful young lady who didn't seem to understand or appreciate all the positive things she had in life
and chose to go down a dark and bitter path in life.
