she called the cops because she heard noises in her backyard. they pulled into the alley, and she walked up to the car in her pajamas, and he pulled out a gun and shot her in the head.

Minneapolis has a definite cop problem. Right around that same time, i called the cops to report that someone stole 2 bikes from my garage. they show up and are completely on edge. one cop stood in front of me to take my report and the other flanked me. I'm a fricking doctor who called the cops to report a burglary and they're treating me like a suspect.
I turn to show them where the bikes were locked in my garage and the cop flanking me puts his hand on his pistol and says "don't move! just stay still right there and report the crime!"
It felt like a definite possibility that I could end up getting shot. It was wild. It gave me a taste of what black dudes face all the time with the cops.

Sounds like that Periscope guy that was here yesterday.
Way too many cops today are just complete morons on power trips. Reporting a crime, in what I assume is a nice neighborhood, and he treats you like the suspect. Hell, reaching for his gun in that situation, even if you were a suspect, is ridiculous.

I’m a big police supporter and typically am on their side. This is the worst police brutality video I’ve seen recently. This was a POS on a power trip that wanted to show everyone there that he was boss. He should get 1st degree murder for this. How someone could have that little care for human life is terrifying.

i agree. i don't like sitting here and act like this unjustified action means other actions were equally unjustified. Also, the action of a few dumb arse cops does not speak for all of white police officers around the country who do things correctly and risk their lives every day against criminals who try to kill cops all the fricking time.
