Can’t we all just agree that cops are mostly dumb people?
I'd say mediocre, just like the military and most government jobs

Good point, they are all made up of people who couldn’t finish school

I'd also say that criminals are even dumber for continuing to not comply.
It's VERY rare for a cop to shoot someone that's doing as the cop instructs.

No, it's more like comply and not worry about possibly dying

What does the demographics of police deaths have anything to do with this case?

Used to be an officer and shite like this was why I walked away from it. fricking clowns like the guy in this video give the entire profession a bad name, and covering your social media in “back the blue” shite just screams “I’m anxious to shoot someone who questions my authority” coincidentally, me and a handful of others (who didn’t do or post shite like that) were the ones making all the arrests in dangerous situations.
I’ve also arrived to scenes where the clowns like the social media attention whores had the tension so high that there was about to be a damn shootout and I diffused the situation within a matter of 10 minutes, and came to an understanding on something that would have been a detrimental black eye to our department. Not trying to sound like Billy-Badass because it wasn’t that at all. I just tried talking to people respectfully and treating them kindly until they presented an obviously dangerous situation (usually high on PCP) and at that point, decisions would have to get made.
Unfortunately, too many good officers choose to walk away because they are tired of the shite heads giving them a bad name. And of course the dog shite police pay in the south.

So when the guy goes limp, shouldn’t that be a good opportunity to cuff him and....maybe get off his neck? Or did he earn death by resisting a few minutes earlier? It seems like the cops sentenced him to death when he first resisted. From that point there was nothing he could do. NOT EVEN LAYING LIMP AND LIFELESS could get that cop off him.

True, but after he was cuffed, hands behind back, face down, NO NEED for the knee to the neck. Plus another officer was applying a knee to the small of the back. This is EXCESSIVE use of force after the fact!

There were 4 stupid cops there. They couldn’t have found a better way to get him into the cop car?
Posted on 5/26/20 at 9:33 pm to jacquespene8
So, what did this guy do that had the cops trying to arrest him?
Posted on 5/26/20 at 9:33 pm to gadknot
There is one moron cop that is killing a guy for no reason. My question is what are the other 3 idiots doing? Shouldn’t they stop him?

I thought cops used to pig tie suspects that were unruly. As soon as they got him on the ground they should have pig tied him and turned him to a position that he could breathe easy and blow off all the steam he needed until he complied. Once that happens they usually go willingly to the back of the police car.

I’m assuming that your parents failed to teach you how to listen to people in positions of authority. Do you also not listen to your parents, teachers, bosses?

anybody defending this is just beyond help

I get not wanting to step in when cops are involved but shouldn’t the people videoing this guy getting killed intervene at some point? I’m sure that would be a hard move to make but I’d like to think if I’m watching someone being murdered I’d do something

I see we have the same superstars from the Arbery thread fighting the good fight in this one.
Pretty alarming that one of them is a real cop.
They are so predictable
