Millennials/Gen Z are the Worst!

The youth of today is often criticized because they don’t know the simple skills to get through life; how to change a flat, how to cook, how to build things.
Over the weekend I was part of a youth leadership seminar for kids that have just completed their sophomore year. I watched some great kids struggle to plant a tree. They didn’t know how to use a shovel!
But it wasn’t for lack of desire or initiative. No one had ever taught them how to use a shovel!!
Crazy huh?
But once I showed them how, they attacked it with enthusiasm. They even timed themselves and tried to beat their time in the next one.
You parents out there. Are YOU preparing your kids for life? Instead of criticizing the kids, maybe you should consider your own efforts to teach them these things you scoff about them not knowing.
They want to learn.
Do you want to teach?

What do you mean “you peop...I mean you parents?”

Just the way the world is now a days. Those kids might not know how to use a shovel, but they can work in technology the way you might be able to work with tools.
They might not know how to use a shovel, but they wont pretend like they do.
Now they might appear to be lazy but really they are just different based off of how WE have all changed the world. They've grown up with the fastest computers known to man...that they can hold in their hand.
They can work through the internet and technology the way you and I could never.
The world needs both types of people.

Well, we have the BR sucks and millennials suck threads out of the way. Should I start a fatties suck one too to complete the OT trifecta?

I agree with this 1000%. Kids, up to a certain age, are what their parents allow them to be.

Not everyone aspires to be a ditch digger like you Cleetus.

Raise your own shitty kids. Or are you one of those weird guys that doesn't have kids but sleeps in a cabin all week with a pack of 13 year olds?

We should let my boy Mingo handle that one

We have Mexicans for that.

Somewhat moot. Millennials aren’t going to be able to afford a shovel, no less have somewhere to store it.

Uhhh, the youngest boomer is 55, so the "kids" he's talking about are not the boomer's kids. They're Gen Zs kids.

Spot on. The ineptitude of young people falls on the shoulders of my generation.

Why use a shovel when I can use a mini excavator?
