You’ll never believe what’s in red beans
And yes they are only allowed one meal a day
No apples or berries
It’s so obvious you don’t have kids that it’s hilarious
You fricking retard

What kind of car do you drive?

23 X7
I also make much more than the average person, so relative to my income this car was very affordable. Wife paid cash

Even my friends that do not have degrees are making 60-80k a year.
What do they do, because I don't believe you.
And don't come back with cutting grass.

If they're certified trades, then they should make more than $80k. So it's not your plumber or electrician friends...
Who are these people and what exactly do they do?
How do you know how much your friends make?
That's the oddest thing is you know how much your friends make. You actually talk about how much money you make with people? That's just weird as hell.
I have no idea how much my friends make because I don't talk about money with friends. It's weird.

In LA that’s not shocking with all the O&G and related jobs

Yeah but they also have no mobility out of lower middle class
Who says. I know plenty of people who started out as laborers and busted their arse absorbing knowledge and building a reputation as a hard knowledgeable worker. Many of them are now turnaround planners and such that travel all over making REALLY good salaries.
I’m not saying shite doesn’t suck economy wise especially housing but it can be done.

Dual incomes being commonplace is part of the whole problem. It should not be a major feat for someone to earn enough for a family to live fairly on a single income. I make a lot of money for someone my age and it's not easy to do. Kids being raised from birth by daycare is not a good thing.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing for the wife to stay at home, it’s just a lot of pressure for one person to be the sole bread winner.

Doing decently well. Will be doing really well in about a year as long as I don’t get laid off. My car & my remaining CC debt should be paid off by EOY 2024.
I am still saving for a house, but not as much as before. Putting back in my 401K @ 5% with my employer match.
Biggest win right now is my gal & I getting a place together which is saving us both a ton of money in rent.

Not really if you have a good wife
It doesn’t really cost extra to have another person living in the house but women these days are only happy if they’re spending money

2 are police officers. Make 70ish
My dad I mentioned, 70k stock manager at big box store.
Scrum master for a financial institution, no degree, 80kish
Salesman for industrial lighting, closer to 100k
Logistics coordinator for a power company, 70k
In 2010, I was working for a local municipality while in college and I made 36k....cutting grass
It's pretty dang easy to make more than 40k per year.

Have a house, housing costs are around 17% of post tax household income. Bought in early 2020 and got a great price and rate. Have put a lot of money into it, but should see a great return whenever we eventually move.
Wife and I both max 401k and have for a while. Have other personal long term investments too. Also two high yield savings accounts, one emergency and one discretionary. We were a lot more liquid a few months ago, but are nearly done with a 50k basement remodel, and just this week spent 11k to replace our 80yo boiler that blew up.
My student loans were paid off in my mid-twenties and my wife’s a few years ago. Have one car paid off and another bought this year that was financed.
Have an 11mo baby and contribute 500/mo to his college savings. Full time daycare is running about 18k/yr.
My wife sometimes feels poor because we’ve spent a lot of cash this year, but we are doing very well. Comfortable and setting up well for the future.

I would say high hazard jobs is believable. Idk what percentage of cops would make 150k tho since that seems to be the salary needed for a median house these days

I'm 31 and started my own business in January and it's really taken off. Met my future wife and am 6 months sober. The happiest I have ever been.
