So you are 38 now and had that car 10 years ago which is 2013, so a pretty modern /new age car. This generation can’t afford a 2021 malibu level car lol.
You commute 15 mins? Most of us can’t find anything 15 mins from work under 2k much less 1600. You think we live 20 mins from downtown? LOL, try 45 to an hour
Corporate jobs require some level of phone for functionality. This is the least of our problems and they are only going up.
Your statements prove you’re out of touch

Bought our house 20 years ago. It has doubled in price. Doesn't matter, plan on living there for a long time.
If we did sell, I would like to make it a rental property, but that also make the situation worse.
It adds to the inflated cost I guess.

I made beans.
My family will eat them for days.
What did I miss, Mr. Reading Comprehension?
You wrote one compound sentence. Didn't take much to decipher it.
I was joking with you about the beans stuff. Just making a funny. You got pissy and defensive.

Just made red beans, cost a grand total of $10 and will feed my family a couple of days at least
You got 24 meals (3 meals a day for 4 people for 2 days) from $10 of red beans and rice?

+1 to your whole list.
But not only that. The older generation should be intentionally and voluntarily spreading their wealth to help individual young people and families of their acquaintance and in their communities.
Or they can continue to live an upper upper middle class life with vacations every six months and new cars and constant Amazon spending and yadda yadda because they earned it (never mind that it was under different conditions), and then can bitch and moan until they die about how all the younger people are ungrateful, while the government goes more and more socialist leading to them INVOLUNTARILY spreading their wealth, except now they don’t get to help their own kids or acquaintances but instead are funding endless wars and other bullshite that impoverishes everyone except politicians and their owners.
Boomers want to sit on their piles of cash and wipe their hands of responsibility. Apres moi, Le deluge! is basically their generational mantra.

You come off like such a miserable pussy it's incredible.
See my comments about this generation.
You're also upvoting your own posts within 30 seconds of making them. Cringe

Dual incomes being commonplace is part of the whole problem. It should not be a major feat for someone to earn enough for a family to live fairly on a single income.
My parents were able to give my siblings and I (4 of us) an extremely comfortable life with two cars, vacations, etc., all on a single income.

You’re a truly dumb person if you think everyone around our age makes 6 figures or is a pussy. This is the reason our country is in a shitshow

Not talking about you older baws who own a house and have assets already. I’m talking between ages 27-35. What’s going on? As younger part of the work force we get paid less and rent is going up. Dont have time due to work and commute, cant save because inflation, unemployment, bills, what we doing?
60% of post tax going to rent on average, damn.
For older baws who say coffee avocados etc, lol.
Also kids are a pipe dream at this point
Scraping by in a 2 income household. Manageable mortgage (small house in South BR purchased in late 2022, not a good rate but could be worse). Not saving near as much as I should.
