My understanding is that a disability rating from the military has zero to do with your ability to perform work. It’s an acknowledgment of and pay for some degradation of your health due to service. There is no equivalent in the civilian world, for the most part. If you work in a loud factory and have hearing loss, your employer is not gonna send you a forever check because of that, but if you sustain hearing loss from military duty, they will.

If by "cut federal subsidies" you mean "allow enhanced subsidies to end on the date the democrats planned for them to end when they created them" then yes, that's actually happening.
