Of course they didn’t. They wanted that event to be a public spectacle

So they naturally called the SEALS

It really only speaks to the fact that a navy admiral was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time. If it had been an Army general the mission would've gone to Delta.

Then nobody would have heard about it

A Delta soldier kills a man and takes a nap

A SEAL kills a man and writes a book

I thought Obama personally directed the SEALS and gave them a pep talk the night before

This is a terrible take.

Each unit of the military and within have specific roles.

You give each other hard times, but there is respect among the branches.

Delta is on another level . Seal team 6 gets a lot of press , no one knows what delta does and that’s the way the military likes it .

I don't know man. I used to think that too but I work with a former Delta dude and he never shuts the frick up about all his exploits. I also work with a former CCT who was with Seal Team 6 and he rarely talks about his former life.

Exactly, it would’ve gone to Delta and not the GB’s or Rangers. Thus proving that Seals and Delta are the most comparable of the groups mentioned in the OP

Admittedly I haven’t read many biographies from the high speed units. How many guys in them aren’t super alpha outspoken type guys? Like, “this is just my job and yeah I guess I’m a badass”

While I agree. GBs and Rangers aren't really set up for that kind of mission. Although I'm sure both would've been more than capable of conducting the raid if they had to.

The SEALS are not comparable to Delta

DEVGRU is comparable to Delta

Seals are comparable to green berets

They are all very different, but that’s the comparison for eliteness/makeup

Of the few I know/ have met, they are all pretty humble about it

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing two SEALs in my life. Both guys were just this side of crazy, and honestly slightly terrible human beings.

But I can’t think of two people I’d rather have standing next to me if shite went down. The best way to describe it is these guys only know how to win.

Delta Force- considering DF recruits from all branches, and includes former SEALs, you can’t even attempt to equate your ordinary SEAL teams with the Unit.

The only reason I'm sure is because the VP of my company is a former Delta commander and that's how he got the job. Otherwise I'd think he was full of shite to be honest. I still think he embellishes some of his stories but he was in Delta.
