I have no idea why adults continue to kowtow to their parents like overgrown teenagers. Tell your MIL to leave the house and entertain herself for a few hours on NYE so you can bang. Or just go out on NYE and leave her at home. Or frick your wife in the shower. Or just frick her in the bed and if you MIL hears, too bad.

How big is the house. I had the same problem with Mom in law staying with us for Christmas. Enjoyed her company, but her room was right next door to us. Our solution, go to the basement and get right to work.
