Didn’t he take night classes at Southern and earned a law degree?

Yes a friend of mine was in his study group. Her and some other students got to study with him at the Governor's mansion.

Worse than Jindal and JBE’s? I don’t think so.

Did I say that? Nothing- not dick cancer with a round of necrotizing fasciitis- could be worse than JBE. Jindal shite the bed too, but at least he had higher aspirations when doing so.

Mike was awesome his first term. But it seems like he had to give the devil his due in term 2.

I 100% believe you and not saying you’re lying. But that is crazy to think about going to the Governors Mansion to study for a test.

He was easy to vote for.

Because so many votes end up being lesser of two evils.

I said this in the other thread when he went to hospice. He is probably my favorite governor in my life time. Sad to hear this.

Plenty wealthy. His grandfather or great grandfather was Governor prior to him.

The family owned thousands of acres of land. Sugarcane and oil. Also owned an oilfield construction company.

But like someone said before he,brought that no good POS Jindal in. Although concerning Supriya I would PIIHB.

I ran into him at an FBO years ago while he was he was learning to fly a helicopter and I was a student pilot.

He flew in to speak to my son’s Cub Scout pack. The kids ran out to watch him land on the school football field. He left an impression on those boys.

Good man, good it was quick. Hate to see people linger when you know they would want to go. RIP Gov.

I have an old pic of my grand father shaking his hand during his reign as governor. Both were good men.

RIP, sir.

The first political candidate that touted himself as a gun owner and hunter in his commercials that I remember.

Yeah, some of my older relatives in the area knew him from before politics. It’s weird to think of them being in that age range now. Never met him but I know my relatives liked him.

I didn’t remember anything either until the news last night highlighted when Foster’s campaign had some dealings with David Duke for a voter list in the 95 campaign. That was routed through one of his businesses instead of the campaign. The ethics board fined him for it.
