Waffle House takes care of their employees and the Waffle House Disaster Playbook is the gold standard of playbooks. When I say every situation and the proper response is in the book, I’m not kidding. From air disaster to zombie like attack, it’s in the book. FEMA uses local Waffle Houses to determine the severity of disasters.

A few weeks ago, I went to my first Waffle House (one on Lee by Bennys) in about 20-25 years. I was very surprised how nice and engaging the workers were with all the customers. It reminded me of childhood experiences going to Camellia Grill and Dearman’s. Food was excellent as well.

Love Waffle House.

Admittedly, when I was young teenage punk in high school we caused too much of a drunken ruckus at our local WH, and the entire restaurant ran us out...servers, cooks, customers and all.

It was a well organized assembly against us, people who just wanted a nice quiet 2am Waffle House experience. United against a bunch of drunken bozos.

We left, they went on about their business, and thats why Waffle House works.

There’s a difference in a diner and a fast-food chicken joint.

Tips are also available for good service at WH.

Obviously never been to Waffle House College Dr at Bawell circa 1985-2005 in the wee hours? Or Shoney's College Dr/IHOP Acadian Thruway in their heydays.

I saw a few fights in there that were better than Canelo-Crawford.

Ever hear of an internet search engine?
I would guess those things are a matter of public record, being publicly traded stocks.

WH is privately owned, doesn't have publicly-traded stock.

I learned something today.

That's crazy that a company as big as WH does not have stocks, I just assumed it did.

Speaking of privately owned restaurants, Chick-fil-A is also privately owned.

It does. They’re just privately held.

My favorite restaurants are diners, though I prefer unique and local ones.

Its Americana as you can get.

People say this and I don’t get it… went to Popeyes Thursday evening and it was pretty good service compared to Taco Bell.
