Midlothian, TX: Failure of Padera Lake Dam "imminent."

The highway between Grand Prairie and Midlothian is expected to be closed soon. Stephanie Parker with the Ellis County Emergency Management Agency told News 8 that officers are directing traffic. If there is a danger to motorists, officials will tell them to close the road before the dam breaks.
Parker says there are about two dozen homes and a business near the dam, and those people have been notified about the breach. Livestock in the area has been moved to higher ground.

What a dam shame. Do they not have anymore dam dirt to build it up higher? All that dam water is gonna flood the whole dam area if that dam dam is breached.

Google Earth says about 100-150 acres, give or take the high water level.

I went to that dam to get some dam water. The dam man told me he wouldn't give me no dam water. So I told that dam man he could keep his dam water.
