Michael Che Is Taking Heat For Making A 'Bad' Steve Irwin Joke

I record SNL to watch one part of the show.. "Weekend Update". When I watched it Sunday morning I thought this was funny, now I am seeing that people are made about the joke Michael Che made. This is the joke.

Instead, Che poked fun at Irwin's death: "Imagine if there was a video of the Crocodile Hunter making fun of stingrays."

To say he "poked fun" at Irwin's death is inaccurate IMO. He made a joke, which isn't really the same as "making fun" of something.

Steve Irwin died in 2006.

Does anyone really think this was inapporpriate?
