MH370 Question

I remember at the time finally putting it together that I guess there was no satellite technology that was able to track planes globally. All ground based and obviously not complete.
Has this changed at all since then?

what exactly are you expecting with “satélite tracking”

Go to Reddit on this, there is an MH370 war going on right now.
There is either video released by anonymous or someone that shows it being surrounded by orbs and sent into a black hole looking thing or it’s all bullshite.

I guess just someway that gps coordinates would be reported back. You can get on TD on many flights now. Starlink didn't really exist back then. Wondering if there are any new standards.

Sorry man I wanted to see what would happen if I didn’t press the button

It existed. It was just turned off by the pilot. They still were able to use pings from engine I think to satellites to get an estimated path.
Not sure whether they improved security to limit pilots from turning stuff like that off.

I think they’re offering a hundred grand for a definitive debunking:

Thank God - finally some closure on this.

You're not a pilot and tend to be suicidal, are you?

You know all those switches and knobs and all that in the cockpit???…. that allows the pilot to enable/disable whatever he wants.
Also, bc of this incident and a few others that were similar, pilots are no longer allowed to be alone on the flight deck. If the captain or first officer need to step away, a flight attendant must be in there before the pilot exits. Just in case they are suicidal.
