Why do they have to drive into Mississippi, Georgia or Louisiana to buy used vehicles? Are there not enough in Texas, Arizona or New Mexico?

They don't have to, but the reasons as to why could be numerous. Less competitors for bidders in the southeast, could have family near the auctions, could be that you just don't see as many driving south on I-35 of I-19 is because you don't frequent those interstates as much, but I can assure you they transport them on those interstates as well.

Same for Africa. I've seen cars with all four wheels about to fall off and the cab held together by tape still on the road.

They follow storms, or floods specifically, and buy cars that were flooded. They buy them direct from the junk yard. I had a client that owned several junk yards. He says they would spend hours going through his lot looking at cars. He would charge the just above the what he could get for salvage, so next to nothing. Then they would spend a few more hours getting the tow vehicles running, and take off down the road.

I bet they have great insurance

For Mexicans, this is how you make the leap from boyhood to manhood.

How do the disabled make that leap?

Is this just a typo? I see it on here often.

I don't get why this statement got so many down votes

Funny you should say that one of the last caravans of Fred and Lamont's heading west had a school bus loaded with old wheelchairs towing a Datsun pickup going 50 on I-10 near Lafayette

Yeah most of those cars are headed to South America where they are worth 10x what they are up here. Here they are salvage, down there it's a revolution for a family.

Well... It makes a TON of sense.
You go to the US which has an overabundance of SUVs and minivans and you take them to Mexico where you have people looking for SUVs and minivans.
A friend of mine's Mom and Dad buy 4x4s and pack them in containers and send them to Honduras.
Apparently a lot of money for certain rides out there.

Atlanta used car market is known to be the best buyers market. They drive up there, buy broken down cars and tow them back to Mexico where they fix them and sell the for profit.

They have groupings of law enforcement Tahoes all over I-40 that are there just to pull over those folks I think. I have flown by them going 90 MPH dozens of times and they haven't flinched, but I always see them behind pulled over Mexicans towing vehicles

Never, ever, play a Mexican in Tetris. You will get your arse kicked. Have you see how much shite they can stack in the bed of a truck?
