I got one when I was 16, aspiring rock star that I was. It looked okay once it settled down but when I first got it the hairdresser insisted on combing it out and it looked absolutely ridiculous. My father started calling me Ronald McDonald.

A friend I went to SLU with came back to school one semester with what he called a "body weave". His hair was very straight, but the do looked like a ridiculous poodle.
He was laughed off of campus for a while.
I sometimes see him as an ump for LSU baseball.
