I'll drive when we're just going around town mostly but on long trips she drives. I like to read or post on TD and she gets car sick if she tries those things so she does most of the driving on anything longer than and hour. Really long trips we trade off of course.

For me, it isn't a power thing but a husband thing. What I mean by that is similar to me and my wife walking down a roadside and I make sure I am on the outside facing the road, the side that has the greatest risk. It has nothing to do with her ability to drive, I see it as more of my responsibility to do so.

Feminists feel free to slam as you will but, that's how I was raised and is also how I have taught my son to treat a lady. Such is life in the south, as is my opinion.

I feel obligated to copy this for you and your son.

Mine drives because for some reason she thinks when I'm behind the wheel the highway turns into a demolition durby and acts like every car around us is trying to hit us. Its like driving around a 75 year old lady. So to keep me sane when we go somewhere together she drives

My wife refuses to drive if I'm available to. Seriously, in the 8 years together, I think she's driven me somewhere 6-7 times, total.

It drives me a bit nuts, but every once in awhile she will drive and I'll be reminded why I don't want her to.

I drive in my truck, because, it's my truck. I don't want anyone else driving it. Honesty though, even out with friends I usually drive my own truck rather than ride with someone else, so I probably have control issues.

This. Don't know why, I'm just more comfortable driving.

Probably because your wife sucks at driving

The other day I was with some friends and this girl was driving, and she was a terrible driver. Insisted on making a right turn then U turning rather than turning left, was afraid to take a right turn at a green light, constantly drove 10 under the speed limit. I would never want her to drive if that was my SO. But a lot of women are actually good, safe drivers.

I have absolutely no problem letting my wife drive.

I won't let my girlfriend drive though. Don't want her to think I'm some kind of dirtbag

Same reason I don't let her go to bars. It's not that I don't trust her... I don't trust other people. Will drive 12 hours from coastal NC to western ky while she sits shotty the whole way.

This. Or read or whatever else. I gotta better shite to do than be taxi driver.

Let her? No. Make her? Yes. Big difference.
