New uniform regulations
Link from the Army Times
How long until combat boots are replaced with high heels?
quote:
Soldiers of all genders will be allowed to have highlights that blend with uniform colors; women can wear long ponytails during training or even shave their heads if they want; men can wear clear nail polish; and terminology that some may find offensive — such as Mohawk, Fu Manchu and dreadlocks — will be removed from Army regulations
quote:
Offensive terms will be replaced with alternative words. Dreadlocks, for instance, has ties to the American slavery experience, and will be replaced with “locs,” primer slides shared with reporters read.

fricking Democrats have turned our country into a joke.

If they’re willing to fight and die for their country, who cares?

Replacing “dreadlocks” with a shortened version of “dreadlocks” doesn’t change the fricking word.

Democrats vision for America

I’m a conservative from a military family, but if some guy wants to wear clear nail polish, that falls into the category of “not a big deal.”

Because all of this shite leads to discipline and cohesion problems which makes it
More likely they’re gonna die fighting. There is a reason individuality is stifled. They’re a unit. They need to act like one. Doesn’t work when this shite goes on.

The language thing is complete and utter BS. Hell, look up the root of Dreadlocks. It was a hair style worn by a certain tribe of warriors and soldiers were filled with “dread” when they had to face them in battle. That shite ain’t got the first thing to do with slavery and a simple Google search would have shown that.
But, CLEAR nail polish is no big deal. My buddy has a secretary who used to be a nail person. She did mine once while I was waiting for him to finish a meeting. They put a satin coat on there to protect the nails and I have to admit it was nice. Now if they are putting on a gloss coat that would be an issue for me.

I feel so much better nouns have been altered.
Not worried about imminent threats to our national security, I'm worried about a term that may possibly upset someone who died more than 150 years ago.

Because you need one standard to follow, good order and discipline, to have an effective fighting unit. This is the military, not a fashion show.

What does that mean?
You didn’t serve? Just living off other peoples accomplishments? Paw Paw and a cousin served so I’ll pretend like that gives my opinion some authority?

You gotta remember that we’ve empowered stupid people. We’re in the “good times create weak men” part of the cycle. Probably have another decade before we’re actually in the bad times part when strong men will begin mobilizing and acting.

This is how it begins. You'll be wig shopping by the 4th of July.
