My wife was smart enough to get into an Ivy League school. I wasn't. On several subjects she can talk way over my head. But I make more money than she does and have more common sense about how the world works.
I'm also prouder of her educational background than she is. She thinks it's pretentious to say anything about it. I bought her an alumni sweatshirt and car decal. She refused to put the sticker on her car and won't wear the sweatshirt outside the house.

It definitely is a thing. Ive seen multiple times, online at least, of a man saying he can't date a woman who makes more money than him. Or even men who will say they refuse to allow their woman to work a job, because they feel it invalidates them as a man or some shite like that.
Personally, I couldnt care less about stuff likr this. Ive told my wife if that there becomes a time where my wife makes a lot more money than me, and we had a newborn baby. I wouldn't even have a problem being the one to leave their job to stay at home with the baby.
As a man I will do what is best for my family. If that means my wife has to be the breadwinner for a specified time then so be it.

Hell, I've seen threads on this website started by men who are bothered when they saw a car with a woman driving and a man in the passengers seat.
It's not every man, but yeah, some men are definitely upset by it.
