What makes a pair of shoes ‘nice?’ Comfort? Style? Cost? I submit to you that a pair of flip-flops may indeed may be the nicest pair of shoes that you will ever own.

Shoe shoes would be Allen Edmonds I have several pair and am very satisfied with all of them. That is why I have several.

I also have some custom Luchesse Lizard/Horn back what ever that are extremely nice and comfortable.

I have these two from AE (bottom is much darker than the top in person). Need a black pair of dress shoes, but rarely wear black, so I never can spend the money. Once I get a black pair, that pretty much covers my dress shoe needs for like a decade. Had these for 4 years and going strong with near daily use.

Allen Edmonds black cap toe.

I own roughly 14 pairs of shoes including brands like Born, Clark’s, Dr Martin (old pair but sentimental), Cole Haan, Johnston & Murphy, and Allen Edmonds.

I’m more of a Johnston and Murphy guy. I like the Allens but I don’t see the need to drop $375+ every time I need a replacement.

It’s all about what does it for you.

How often are you needing to replace whole pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes? Just get the soles redone.

Allen Edmonds Cronmoks - my favorite pair of shoes I’ve ever had. The leather is soft like glove leather - just amazingly comfortable. They are getting kind of funky now but they stopped making Cronmoks, so I wear them with jeans. Need a new pair of Allen Edmonds but it’s hard to give these up.

Lucchese boots - I wear these as my “dress shoes” usually, though I rarely dress up. The color is black cherry, so they go with most things I wear dressy or casual.

Nice. That way, after work, you can pop your hat back on and match for the drive home.
