Kinda like the guys that ripped their massive CD collections to MP3s, so that they could then burn them on CD-Rs, ten or twelve albums on one CD-R.

MP4s, Xp7s, fricking make up something, ya twat....I don't care. Call it the bootlegged shite from limewire that ruined my family's computer.
He’s fricking with you because everything you’ve listed is digital, not analog. The cassette is the primary analog format that was replaced by digital, and would be the best corralary, as analog records have arguable benefits over digital, which VHS doesn’t have.

Two things I don’t miss. VHS and CRT televisions.

Had a frat buddy of mine who had a mobile DJ system where he did parties. He use to record his shows on VHS with a stereo player. We’d use his set up at frat parities where he’d pop in a VHS tape of previously recorded parties for three hours of music without lifting a finger.
It was a genius idea.

Most of my VHS tapes broke at some part of the movie… Fast Times at Ridgemont comes to mind.

I bought some previously view vhs tapes from Alfalfa.
Apparently the tape had snapped and someone spliced it.
Splicing helical scan video tape is not a great idea.

VHS hifi? Not great sounding but certainly better than a single audio track split for stereo.

I remember that 36 inch Sony we bought from Best Buy in 2006. It had a hdmi input on it and I thought we were the shite. It didn’t last 7 years and God forbid you try to move that heavy SOB.

A kid I knew in Jr High in the 80s lived in a trailer and their living room wall was stacked with their VHS library about 10 ft wide.
