You don't know Alabama politics if you think Moore lost because of the sexual assault allegations.
I unapologetically know nothing about Alabama politics. Moore was said to be a cringeworthy moron, but I'm pretty sure he was ahead in the polls before the yearbook allegations. To say that didn't affect the outcome wouldn't be fair. It was a very close vote from what I remember.

Well Chris, I love ya man, but that’s because you are a moralizer. You have more than a little of the moral nanny in you. I’m not saying that to insult you, but just as an observation based on your frequent need for virtue signaling and letting everyone “ know” you are judging them.
If you study history, you will see that many of the most indispensable leaders of their times were not angels. Churchill, Washington, Lincoln, Patton, MLK Jr, et al. But then, a mature mind understands that men are not angels and have no expectations that they will be.
The irony of governance is that a deeply moral man like Jimmy Carter can be an absolute disaster for America and a morally ambivalent guy like Trump can be The Indispensable Man. And then often , you get a guy like Obama who telegraphs and lives his utter corruption and REALLY fricks his country for a generation or more.

He was, but Alabama polling is notoriously bad and unreliable. He was leading in those polls the day before the election as well. Jones's internal polling had him in a slight lead most of the campaign.
Republican voters had long tired of Moore's antics before he even entered the race. He has his solid base, and benefited from a crowded field. The appearance that Luther Strange was appointed to Sessions's seat as a reward for halting the investigation into the governor soured voters on him and gave Moore the nomination.

i'm not trying to tell anyone, in this thread, that i am judging them... i'm saying that i feel Trump is a detestable human being based on his previous documented display of character... everyone can do as they please, but i'm just saying, i choose to live my life with at least a little more moral directive nowadays... those who don't live up to a minimum, and trust me you don't have to be a saint at all, moral code don't get respect from me... sorry, they just don't... i'm sure we all have our own scale by which we judge the character of those we know or hear about... i KNOW i'm not the only one on this site (hell, on this page, for that matter) who judges other based on the example they choose to provide of themselves to me...

And that's fair, he wasn't a great candidate, but I'm sticking to my overall point.

Now I know why, with all her fame and money, she is still mad. She hates herself.

There are deeply moral men. And then there are moralizers. Moralizers burn witches and books. Moral men realize all men are flawed and view the normal flaws of others compassionately. Therefore when my neighbor cheats on his taxes or lies to his wife, How do you react to that. With compassion or with Old Testament judgement? Do you see your own vulnerabilities in the sins of others or do you scream at them ?

No, you are basing it on accusations that have not been proven to be real.

This level of hero worship is cringeworthy.

It’s not hero worship if your hero ( our indispensable GEOTUS) is Donald J Trump , Celebrity Apprentice, Destroyer of testosterone- deprived, Marxist-slogan-spouting, Book- burning, jizz-gargling, Sky Screaming Cuckdom. It’s just sensible fealty to His Orangeness, based on science.

We made this culture. Myspace was the beginning of it. Facebook made everyone their own news channel and it's just steamrolled since then.
Throw in lawyers and our system of justice where anyone can sue anyone and have no repercussions for frivolous lawsuits and here we are.
I actually got whipped with a paddle by my principal in school when I was a kid.
Wtf kind of world have we allowed to happen?
It's like the more extreme you are the more you're accepted. Its fricking bizarro world.

I haven't read all 18 pages, but hopefully, somebody has made a "kneel / what it takes / is hard" joke up in here by now.
