Although the locker room talk is absolutely true. No one who has gone through puberty can say they haven't talked nasty like that.
Sure, but most men move of from talk like that after high school and college. Or at least most men I associate with.
Besides, when you put that comment next to the multiple sexual harassment/assault allegations he has denied, it weakens those denials for a lot of women.

I think the press/journalists have done far more to undermine public confidence in them than Trump ever has or could ever try to do.

Again, the press has done far, far more to do this than anything Trump or any other president has.

They should be paid the same % of revenue generated. Hope they enjoy their pay cut.

you are right... they are actually doing MORE work...
You aren't making an apples to apples comparison. This is pathetic. If the men win a world cup it would not only be the most profitable event in the USSF history, but the men should be compensated like their other male peers. End of story. The woman are playing different opponents, it is not equal work. If you want to talk changing bonus structures for the women than fine but you're being obtuse with your argument.

They got beat by a team of amateur 15 year old boys. The nature of pay in pro sports isn’t how hard you work or even how far you progress, It’s how much revenue you generate.
This is like saying a burger flipper at wendy’s Should make as much as a high end chef.
“But they are both cooks!”

saying, i'd like to frick a chick, or she's hot as frick, or whatever other "nasty talk" is VASTLY different than straight up condoning sexual assault without consequence... let's not get it twisted...

It isn't like that whatsoever.
It would be like 2 chefs, one has a money maker restaurant and the other doesn't. The latter has 3 Michelin stars and the former has 0.

Y'all do realize this was just an exhibition game. Exhibition games are often used to tweak with different lineups, try players at different positions, play younger players for experience, etc., and they often don't go 100% to avoid injuries, right? This isn't the gotcha you all seem to think it is.

again:
record sales of the USWNT’s home jersey. Nike chief executive Mark Parker reported the jersey “is now the number one soccer jersey, men’s or women’s, ever sold on Nike.com in one season.”
Overall, from fiscal 2016 to 2018, the women’s games generated about $900,000 more revenue than the men’s games. In the year following the 2015 World Cup win, women’s games generated $1.9 million more than the men’s games. And in recent years, the men’s revenue tally also includes the fees that opposing teams pay in order to play the United States.
The USSF points out that if this calculation is extended to fiscal 2015 — in order to include a men’s World Cup cycle — the men’s team brought in $10.8 million more for the federation. For the current World Cup cycle, the women’s team is likely to have higher revenue, since they won the championship while the men failed to qualify. (as in, no revenue)
Gross revenue — especially for games — isn’t everything. Matches are expensive to produce and players have to be paid, so games don’t always turn a profit for the federation. That said, in fiscal 2016 and 2017, the women’s team generated more cash than expenses, bringing in net revenue of $8 million and $1 million, respectively. The men’s team in fiscal 2015 and 2016 posted net revenue of $350,000 and $2.7 million, respectively.
Comparing each team’s expenses is a good exercise. The USMNT consistently had higher expenses (a line item that includes salaries and bonuses) until fiscal 2018. The USWNT did make more in bonuses and salary than the USMNT in fiscal 2018, according to our estimates, but it’s worth noting they also played almost double the number of games and won significantly more often.

They’re suing the USSF not FIFA
They aren’t looking to get equal pay from what FIFA generates

Great. They should be paid the same % of revenues generated as the men. If it is more, good. If it is less, good too.
