you don't watch a lot of soccer, do you? sure, we've pretty much dominated, but to say that teams like Brazil, France, Germany, England, etc. don't have or provide competition on a worldwide stage is beyond ridiculous...

you don't understand depth do you? to say that womens soccer has as much depth as mens soccer is beyond ridiculous and quite absurd.

i think what he is more or less trying to say is that Trump seems to try whatever necessary to undermine public confidence in the press/journalism, while doing whatever necessary to control narratives he deems important... that includes unwarranted attacks on legitimacy, as well as flip flopping on news sources, while eroding our fundamental value in what "freedom of the press" truly is...

What the frick? I think the question is how have women been discriminated against or had any of their rights diminished since Trump took office...no one can ever give examples. It's a false narrative just like trump supporters are racists.

He's also the first candidate elected who supported gay marriage.

These people are beyond ignorant and stupid.

well, considering women, in some countries, cannot even fricking drive a car if they want, or wear anything other than a sheet with a slit in it, while also having to worry about being stoned to fricking death in the year 2019, it's not surprising there aren't as many teams on the women's side...

but REGARDLESS of this... in THIS country, they should be making just as much, no more, no less, than the men... for them to even get close to the same pay, they have to do shite like they just did, and win the World Cup, whereas the men get paid more and they don't even fricking qualify for their respective tournament... i thought some of y'all hated people getting paid for not doing their fair share?

Trumpy would have you hate the press and not believe what you see, read or hear? What is worse? His shutting down our freedoms or this idiot soccer player speaking her mind?

This is ironic considering she doesn't look like a gal that has spent much time on her knees to get what she wants.

Maybe they should have had a better collective bargaining agreement. I think the soccer fed already made the payout system about as equal as they can under the current bargaining agreements.

Why shouldn't the women compare themselves to how other women around the world are compensated for soccer instead of men in their own country?

They aren't doing equal work, that's the whole point of the outrage.

He has packed the Federal courts with judges that have a record of being hostile towards abortion rights.

But beyond just examples of rights, it's his conduct and words he's used towards and about women. "Moved on her like a bitch.", "Grab her by the pussy.", calling Rosie O'Donnell a pig or whatever he called her, trotting out Bill Clinton's accusers as a PR stunt when he himself has multiple sexual harassment allegations against him, etc.

As for gay rights, we can start with his VP pick who has a long history of anti-gay statements and policy positions. Then we can go on to his banning transgenders from the military, removing protections for transgenders in the workplace, allowing doctors to refuse treatment of transgenders under religious freedom. There are others.

And I don't necessarily agree or disagree with any of what I posted, but you asked for examples so I gave some.

It's cool, he's a man and he's triggering libs, baw.

Although the locker room talk is absolutely true. No one who has gone through puberty can say they haven't talked nasty like that.

because i don't give a frick what other countries pay THEIR women... i care about WE pay OUR women...

they should... i'm not saying they shouldn't, that should be part of this discussion as well... perhaps they've gained some more leverage for when discussions roll around again... they could do like other shitty leagues do and go on strike, but they have, so far, tried to avoid such a thing...

you are right... they are actually doing MORE work...

The USWNT did make more in bonuses and salary than the USMNT in fiscal 2018, according to our estimates, but it’s worth noting they also played almost double the number of games and won significantly more often.
