I could do some damage with that kind of money.

I don't understand the panic buy when the jackpot goes up.
The odds of winning are the same.
I would do just fine with 10% of that.

When you win remember the best things to do is take the lump sum, tell everybody that you won and be generous giving it away to friends, family and charities.

I wonder if being able to afford everything makes the things still just as desirable

I probably overthink things, but I’ve read some real horror stories from lottery winners. Winning that amount of money sounds great, but it creates a ton of negative life factors. When I think about those, my current life situation seems really good.

Fair question because I have found over the years that having something is often less satisfying than wanting it.

Having said that I still would love to win that jackpot, it would be frickin wild

it is not really a panic buy but at a certain point it becomes worth $3

Of course any Mega Millions/Powerball jackpot is going to set up anyone and future generations for life. It's more for the novelty when it gets to absurd amounts - most of us don't want to be degenerates and waste our money on every single drawing. It's fun to join in on the hype every once in a while.

I think the most gratifying thing would just be peace of mind that you'll never have financial stress again

You could live a lavish lifestyle but I really think the best benefit is to never have to worry about money or worry if you have enough for retirement

Oh and never having to work again if you don't want to

Is there any way to stay anonymous?

Is dealing with “being super rich everyone out to get you” better than normal day to day middle class stresses?

Because if you win that, you’ll never not be being sued.

How do you buy a ticket? It is still possible to do a quick pick or whatever it's called?

Depends on the state

But I think in most states you can form a corporation and have the corporation accept the money

I remember reading an article about this guy that was already worth around 30 million and he won the lotto and the police would pull him over every time they saw him on the road

yeah it was a dude in WV that owned a construction company worth around 16 mil.

his problem was that he tried to stay in a little redneck town where everyone knows him. Cops fricked with him, every dude in town hated him cause their girl was try to frick him.

End up enjoying strippers and gambling too much, wife left him, and he ended up in debt.

What’s the problem with this in general? I’d want to stay where I currently live.

This is what I mean, your old life is gone if you win this. Friends, associates, kids friends. You have to basically move into witness protection if you want to stay sane.

Then you better damn well do your best to make sure no one knows you have that type of money

Right, so your life is fricked. You get to go live an anonymous life somewhere isolated from everything you currently love.

I see almost no way one person could piss away 750 million.

But, I'm probably naive and there are literally thousands if not millions of people that most certainly will blow it all and be broke within a decade.

With the amount of traveling that I've done for work this wouldn't be a problem for me at all.

I could start a new life somewhere else with no problems in the world.
