Lump sum, easy.

The annuity only pays out if you live all 20 years. You can’t transfer it in a will.

A return of about 3% on investments over the course of 20 years will still get you about $100m in cash.

Unfortunately that bridge is the Sunshine Bridge.

The larger the sum, choose the annuity. IMO.

Plenty of money, won't be broke in just a few years

Lump sum is the correct answer in most scenarios, but honestly, with that kind of money it won't make much difference. It's more than you or your children or grandchildren could ever spend either way.

Don’t underestimate the number of people who will come out from under a rock wanting a piece of your winnings.

Friends, family, people wanting to give you “business opportunities”, various organizations nosing around for a donation, etc.

Money is always worth more in the present than it is in the future.

This is false and is pointed out in the other thread.

The annuity will go to your beneficiary
