Meet Unama'ki. She's a 2,076-pound white shark and she's off Louisiana's coast.

Researchers hope she'll bring them to a white shark nursery.

A 2,078 lb. white shark named Unama'ki has been tracked off the coast of Louisiana, according to research group Ocearch.

The wildest part is that it's the first time the group has tracked this type of shark to this area of the Louisiana coast.

"Is this a whole new piece to the white shark puzzle?" the group tweeted.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that white sharks eat squid in the deep water parts of the Gulf. It looks like this thing was closer to the coast though. Can’t imagine seeing that at grand isle or something

maybe it is the first time THIS group has but there are other white shark trackers that have shown White Sharks in the gulf. Hell, Baws here have posted they have seen whites while on the platforms.

Just this particular group? Surely whites have been spotted (though rarely) off the LA coast before?
