I even said the same thing when Randall told me they hired a new girl named Heidi.

But Randall immediately began shaking his head and downplaying Heidi.

According to Randall, Heidi is not even a 1/10. He said she is the most nerdy and ugly girl there is.

At first I felt bad for Heidi but as he described her I sympathized with him. He said she is really nerdy and awkward. She speaks like Virgil Bottomtooth in Family Guy... the one who has that laugh that trails off, well she speaks like that all the time, mumbling.

Her appearances aren't much better. Glasses, frizzy unkept hair always in a ponytail, acne on the face, just not attractive in anyway.

According to Heidi is OBSESSED with marching band. She is in the marching band at her high school and that's all she talks about. Some random dude came in and she started to freak out.

"OMG!" Heidi said. "DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT IS?!?!".

"No." Randall replied.

"He was the 1st chair trumpet at UIL all-state band last year!!!"

Randall told me he gave absolutely zero fricks about that, and I do not blame him.

He said apart from marching band, Heidi is absolutely quiet. That is literally the only thing that comes out of her mouth when it opens. Marching band. She is really boring to work with. Randall said at least CharKethia had her moments where she was entertaining.

Randall and I agreed - Heidi was hired to be the anti-CharKethia.

CharKethia was fired because her boyfriend was coming in to do drug deals in the freezer. That's a big no no, letting non employees into the freezer. Especially if it is to do drug deals.

Heidi is the opposite. She doesn't give attitude to the customers, although I imagine her voice would annoy them. She generally shows up on time, doesn't text during her shift, and is reliable.

Ryan went with the safe choice. A really nerdy, geeky, annoying and ugly female employee, but one that doesn't come with the problems that CharKethia presented. Heidi's drawbacks aren't particularly harmful to the business.

Randall did mention one thing, Heidi and Austin are perfect for each other, even if Austin is 8 years older. Although they are separate levels of nerd. Heidi is a band nerd, Austin is a gamer nerd.
