Wow.. lucky to feed, clothes and etc...why did you have kids in the first place if that is how you feel?

I get not being able to pay for autos or college but telling one your children, whom you and your spouse decided to bring into this world they're lucky they were feed must make them feel loved.

IF my kids were all in med school I wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing If I had to. I want them to make good grades not worry about debt they can pay me back for.

if my kid is going to be a doctor, he can pay it back himself or atleast a godo portion. But like you said, plenty of frogiveness programs.

Hell if this was my kids, i would have made them go military to get GI bill.

1. I know college is crazy expensive and will likely never get cheaper: I ain’t having 5 kids
2. Go to Public college

Due to private circumstances, his ex-wife isn't contributing.

That’s legal? Other way around: a man can decide to just not help out with college?

Is there a worse strategy for this situation? 6.28%?

Certainly one of the kids with a $100k education could chip in?

I will cover everything for my kids provided they are responsible and have some plan to earn a living. I didn't have anything and struggled my twenties getting started even with a decent job.

In the 1990's my three kids got,

BS degree from Baylor
BA degree from Southwester
BS degree from A&M corpus

MA degree from Florida State
MA degree from University Colorado

PHD degree from UT Austin

Cash flow was 150,000 to 180000 dollars a year for about 2-3 years while all were in school at same time, less before and after. No loans.

yes it was worth it,

Poor baw could have...

1. Invested into a 529plan (or some other savings)
2. Gotten a vasectomy
3. Chosen a better mate

I bet he's planning on the libtards to forgive student loan debt. I have a 529 for my kid just in case though.

I don't know that I'd go into that kind of debt, but, my wife and I are paying for our kid's college expenses. We have saved specifically for it since they were born, and asked the grandparents to make donations to their 529 plans in lieu of other gifts, plus we have kept the kids on top of grades for scholarship opportunities.

They know how fortunate they are in this regard, but we don't regret this for a single moment.
