Do you actually believe there won’t be confusion and hassle with a government run program? They certainly don’t run the current Medicare/Medicaid system or Social Security without confusion and hassle.

Know how I know he's never filed taxes other than maybe, just maybe, a 1040-EZ?

So simple and w/out confusion or hassle. "Now serving" sign reads: #15678. Looks at ticket in hand: #38563. Whew, last time it was over 50,000 people ahead in line. Sees other sign: "If you die in line you lose your place, no exceptions!"

Medicare for all sounds better, because Medicaid sucks. But it will be Medicaid for all

cool. imma need 70% of your paycheck.

It's almost like people don't understand that's what this means. Unless they don't pay taxes anyway. Then it's just 70% of someone else's paycheck until that well runs dry

Yea, if those who want medicare cough up $150 a month or more, it might be doable.

EVERYONE BORN IN AMERICA???

That includes half of Guatemala and most of Mexico. Can we at least limit Medicare to Americans?

That's pretty crazy if you think about it.

And we're worried about illegal aliens burdening the tax payers

It's time. If you are born an American, you immediately receive Medicare.

Redirect the strain and administration from business and individuals. No more big insurance companies. No more uninsured, underinsured. No more confusion, and hassle. It gets paid, one way or another. Simplified.

Healthcare. Solved.

Having idiots like this is why it got screwed up to begin with.

So do you plan to spend the 4-8 years necessary to get your M.D. for the piss ant salary the government is going to pay you ?

My wife is doing that now. 3rd year since having an M.D., making 50k a year.

BUT BUT BUT, she will be making tons more in 2 or 3 years.

We both agree, without that earning potential, she never would have gone to med school

What an ignorant individual YOU are.

I'm on medicare. I was forced on to medicare when I reached 65.

IT SUCKS!!!

My coverage went to crap and I have to pay for a policy to cover the LARGE amount that medicareless doesn't.

I'm "underinsured". There has been "confusion, and hassle". They decide what "gets paid". "one way or another" means it gets paid by medicare or "another" means out of YOUR pocket. "Simplified" my arse!!!

"Healthcare. Solved." my arse. I haven't begun to tell you the problems this would create. Who here actually believes something run by the government will be that easy? Don't be stupid

Scruffy is doing that now. 3rd after getting MD and getting paid $50k a year...and have another 3 more years of getting paid $50k a year for fellowship.

If there was no light at the end of the tunnel, Scruffy would quit tomorrow and go do anything else.

Moonlight Scruffy. Docs in the old days had to moonlight twice a night walking between the two barefoot in the snow. Both ways.

Don’t know where you got 4 years for an MD from but my wife did 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school and 3 years of residency. 11 years to be a pediatrician.

She loves what she does but would have done something else if the money wasn’t in that profession.

Why would anyone go into training for over a decade and get 200k into student loan debt for a job that doesn’t pay well?

OP is a fuching idiot.

I might be able to get behind this...

Medicare is usually for those 65 and older

Or disabled with a higher income. Bad thing about Medicare is that it leaves people with a 20% copay. So in my case, I have to carry a Medicare plan "F" which cost me another $450 a month. Then throw in the $850 a month for insurance for the wife with a $6200 deduction. Health care eats our income big time.
