It's time. If you are born an American, you immediately receive Medicare.

Redirect the strain and administration from business and individuals. No more big insurance companies. No more uninsured, underinsured. No more confusion, and hassle. It gets paid, one way or another. Simplified.

Healthcare. Solved.

Yes. Let’s give the government all the power to decide our quality of healthcare. What could possibly go wrong?

You sound very educated. Must be at least 17 or 18.

Oh, never mind. SabinBear says it all. Tells me everything I need to understand your intelligence.

If all you have is Medicare, you are underinsured.

Free market system would still allow those who can afford it to buy non-government health insurance policies so big insurance companies wouldn’t all of the sudden go out of business.

Yes. Just like subsidized housing and food. These things always help society progress.

the plan works fine if you can convince all the great doctors to keep working for much less pay or to keep being doctors at all.

How would you determine what type and how much of services people get?

How do you manage the immense demand for services when the price tag is zero at point of delivery?

Alright, so how do we pay for it?

How do we keep the government from running like trash like they do their other programs?

Do you actually believe there won’t be confusion and hassle with a government run program? They certainly don’t run the current Medicare/Medicaid system or Social Security without confusion and hassle.
