We were SFP-splained last week that the author of an article posted on yahoo sports was explaining how "cultural whiteness" can include non-whites if they exhibit white behavior. The author also stated things like this mass shooting is a characteristic of cultural whiteness or white supremecy.
We aren't that far off from this being a talking point.

When shite started going sideways a few years ago, I was certain that satire in this country was dead.
I was wrong, it is much easier for the writers, but much more difficult to spot for the readers.

1. Promote the idea that every bad thing in thr world is because of white people.
2. Realize you can't make that claim in reality, so adjust it to "whiteness."
3. Declare that whiteness is an idea and doesn't have to be exhibited by only whites.
4. Move goalposts as necessary due to the ever changing definition.
And of course with intent, "whiteness" is still inextricably associated with whites, so your original goal of demonizing an entire race is still achieved.

They've jockeyed themselves into a position of autocracy. They can shape-shift definitions into whatever suits them in the moment and any challenge is deemed as a hate crime.

Sadly this is all too true! Even as far fetched as this sounds, there was an article not too long ago that said black people who voted for Trump were white supremacists'. So the Bee is going to have to up it's satire game to out stupid the real world.
