The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles in the South Plains region of Texas.
quote:
At this time, 48 cases have been identified with symptom onset within the last three weeks. Thirteen of the patients have been hospitalized. All of the cases are unvaccinated or their vaccination status is unknown.
quote:
Due to the highly contagious nature of this disease, additional cases are likely to occur in Gaines County and the surrounding communities. DSHS is working with South Plains Public Health District and Lubbock Public Health to investigate the outbreak.

Good thing republicans are all in on getting rid of vaccines. Maybe the diseases will win a little.

I thought I read somewhere that Trump today signed an EO that will pull funding from schools that mandate vaccines (as in ALL vaccines).
Going to see more of this if that's the case sadly.
ETA: Looks like the EO is just for COVID vaccines, thankfully.

the illegals brought this here and the reason they don't know the vac status or have any information on these people is because they aren't from the US

You just feel bad for the children in these cases where their parents don't understand basic risks

You realize that this is driven by all the third world illegals, right?

FYI, when I worked in a school district even kids that we didn't know their immigration status were required to have their state mandated vaccines to attend. We typically had translators at our central office that would transfer the non-English vaccine information over to US certificates.
That said, the Wakefield MMR info also resulted in a fair amount of Americans (born here) that also avoided the MMR. Jenny McCarthy did a ton of damage in the 2010s with her misinformation bullshite.

Of course you have no evidence to support your statement.
In Louisiana, the republican governor has instructed the Health Department that it cannot promote immunizations. The republicans passed an Act this last session whereby no kid is required to be vaccinated for anything upon entering school if the school is provided a "written dissent from the student or his parent or guardian." Louisiana, through its republican rulers, is likely the most anti-vaccination jurisdiction in America.
There will be more outbreaks. "third world Illegals" are not the cause of outbreaks of preventable diseases, elected republican morons are the cause.

As a kid in the 1980s, when we lived in Brownsville, TX for two years, we were tested for tuberculosis at school
