When Katrina hit, in the aftermath people turned to the Saints and to LSU athletics for emotional support. And the athletes all said they were happy their sport could help take people's minds off the devastation and help people feel normal again if only for a moment.

She needs to denounce that last name.
Both of them, seeing as how they were both Confederate Generals.

This is what your dealing with here -
In 1997, while on a trip to the Mars Pathfinder operations center in California, Jackson Lee asked if the Pathfinder had succeeded in taking a picture of the flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969.

So she's supposed to do nothing but think about Harvey?
Yes. Houston's congresswoman, at this point in time, should be thinking of nothing other than her constituents, her city and their well being. Anything else would be a distraction and competent leaders don't get distracted in times of great peril.
Having said that, Sheila is a fool, a nincompoop, a clown of the first order and I disapprove of her very existence. She is the antonym of competent leadership so I'm not surprised at all.

Meh. I'm not one to be dramatic about this stuff but I don't recall watching many sporting events DURING the storm. Probably would've been wise as a leader to portray that she was actively leading during the event and not watching boxing.

Wonder why she was rooting for Floyd
While being far from perfect and besides the fact that it's easy to cheer for an underdog, Mayweather is American, won a medal in the olympics for the US, has fought and won in multiple weight classes and risen from relative poverty to become a multimillionaire. He's got some issues in his past and is a braggart, but the question is why wouldn't you root for him?

The people! Not the people elected to insure the best interests of his/Her people.

Yeah! Props to Floyd: he is 50-0 vs men and at least 3-0 with 3 KOs vs women.
No other local or state leader is tweeting her love to a women abuser except for SJL. She is an embarrassment for my city and my district.
Unfortunately her district has been drawn to make her forever safe.

She is POS trash. Has been long before this storm.
