yes id love more on how a 150 lb man pulled this nfl running back out of a car, that sounds like the most plausible story.

You're consistently making shite up. What proof do you have of Ronald Gasser's height/weight?

McKnight at the draft was 5'11", 198 pounds. He's not some monster of a man.

How about just race baiter ?

Here's an idea. Go walk down the street in New Orleans and shoot a black guy. Use your patented defense theory and see how it goes. I'm sure in addition to being acquitted, you will be rewarded damages for the emotional distress you suffered being in the same vicinity of a black person.

Fortunately we have laws on the books that recognize there are some circumstances where, yea, there is nothing wrong there. :)

Of course, we don't yet know if that's the case here, but Gasser being released trends towards this not being a cut and dried case of murder.

funny how that list you posted has just a handful of US cities and of course we had

freddie gray - baltimore

mike brown - near st louis

joe mcknight - new orleans

its amazing how in the cities with the most violent crime, these people and cops "make assumptions". Do you find that intriguing?

I've read it. If the post to which you replied is true - McKnight pulled him out of his car and then retreated while apologizing after Gasser brandished a weapon - Gasser may have a case, but it isn't a slam dunk. It depends how long the events unfolded and whether or not a threat still existed.

Only thing I've heard is his sister call him a "gentle giant." If anything it seems like he could be bigger than McKnight.

Haven't read this whole thread but a local business has the encounter on video surveillance. The cops have it but have not released what it shows. Reporter was at the scene of the camera this morning.

So let me get this right, in all three of those cities we can shoot Black people and get off by citing statistics? Maybe you should move to one of them so you can play out your deranged fantasies!

In new orleans, if someone approaches you after a confrontation on the road, you better assume the worst or you might be the one going home in a bodybag. Jesus, Id love to see what all you guys siding with joe would do in the same situation, at a stoplight, being approached by another man. Sip your latte and turn down the U2 on the radio, and call 911 probably waiting for him to come over and do what he pleases. It seems like ronald gasser decided to not wait and find out whether joe had a gun or not, is that right? No it isnt, guns empower people, but at the same time people have a right to defend themselves and there is no way to know how threatened he felt. Being that he's in new orleans, simply saying, I felt threated a black man was coming at my car, most in a jury from the same area would sympathize with him, knowing that most violent crimes in new orleans are committed by african americans.

Once again, you're making a ton of assumptions that cannot be validated. Your entire premise is that McKnight was coming towards him, which is unproven at this time.

Furthermore, your argument would make it justifiable to shoot a damn window washer in New Orleans. If a black man comes up to dabigfella to ask for change at an intersection, may the Lord have mercy on his soul.

I just dont understand the need for people to act like they must use a gun to defend themselves. The whole "well he was in my space so I had to shoot him" is just ridiculous to me.

tell that to people who got hurt from aggressors and have to live with brain damage. it happens a lot.

if someone is trying to harm another over something petty then I don't care if they live or die

The only thing that makes sense is this entire #Joemcknight killing was caught via traffic cameras and supports Ronald Gasser's version

This presser can't get here fast enough. Honestly, it should have accompanied the release of Gasser. The slightest bit of common sense tells you that if you have a reason to release him after less than 18 hours, you have an obligation to inform the public of that reason.
