And this is a cause for a discussion on society and race... seriously?

In a vacuum, maybe not. But in light of all the other happenings between blacks and the police, I think it is worthy of discussion.

Seems many others agree with me, it is being discussed.

Hmmm, what about all the black people in the community that have come out in support of the cops and complained about the kids taking over pools?

The one black guy in the community who was on Fox yesterday said he did not think it was a racial incident, but he did not like how the cop handled it. You don't have to be a certain color to see or say that.

I never once said the cop was 100% right in his actions. But I am sorry, this isnt a racial thing. I am white as paper and have had CCL residents call the cops on my arse 100s of times for trespassing when at parties

Not really that hard to find if you actually look for them. Many residents of the neighborhood, both black and white, are supporting the officers for helping to contain the situation.

If I would have trespassed and then argued with police as a teenager I would have been tossed to the ground and arrested in a heartbeat. No one would have cared or said a word except for my parents who would have made me apologize to everyone. Why is it these kids are getting a pass from so many for criminal behavior?

And the kid that charged at the cop from behind should be thanking him for not shooting his dumb self.

Thats what I dont get. Im not saying that cops should react that way. But as a certified honky, I have been to many honky high school parties where other racist whites called the cops on our white asses for trespassing, and then the racist white cop would regulate when one of our white friends mouthed off to them.

I just dont see this as racial at all

no one is saying the kids should have been given a pass

the kids most certainly needed to be either arrested or given a citation, depending on their actions

but that cop handled the entire situation very poorly, he was obviously out of control with his emotions and lacked situational awareness

these are skills that cops need to possess and he obviously does not possess them

the people wanting to ruin the cops life and the people that believe the cop did nothing wrong are both blind by whatever agenda or believe system that they have

it is sad that people can't think rationally in these cases

He told the female 3 times to leave the scene and she refused to comply. Then her arse got barrell rolled.

Were only black kids mouthing off in this incidence? Did all the white kids sit by quietly which is the reason why none were detained or asked to get on the ground?

exactly

he let a 14 year old get the best of his emotions

he should, as a cop, know how to handle that better

And I think the "go back to Section 8" comment if that was truly said made this racists because obviously she must have been implying that since they were black, they must be poor and live in government housing.

As for the girl, it looks like she was leaving the scene (though at her own pace) and the cop went after her.

It's been revealed that she was 20 according to the news articles posted in this thread, correct?

only one of those links talks about kids kicking in doors and stealing cars and all of that comes from exactly one person.

that was mainly what I was asking about.

She is 15. The other girl going at it with the adult women is 19.

I'm not seeing it. Every kid that listened when he told them to sit down in the grass was never/barely touched. This girl refused to leave 3 times and mouthed off to him over and over. When he finally stopped giving her chances she decided to try to walk away and then to resist detainment. You don't get to egg an officer on repeatedly, while trespassing, and then scatter when he decides to detain you. He was trying to wind the situation down and she was attempting to do the opposite. He told her to get down on the ground and she resisted. When he grabbed her arm she locked up and chose to go the "CALL MY MOMMA!" "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING" route. Then she got the belly to back suplex. I would have zero issue with this officer if it were my daughter in the scenario. Her arse would be grounded till I was legally unable to keep her that way.

As for the boy that ran up on the officer, he is lucky he is not dead. Idiot.

It's also stated that this happened after dark on Saturday after several of the kids threatened the man.

I love the narrative so many people use now:

The kids say they were just having a normal party that 10 police units crashed for no reason and began to harass the young people. Everyone eats that shite up.

Actual residents of the neighborhood say many of the kids were trespassing, some were damaging property, and some even physically accosted the security guards and they are full of shite.

Parties cleared by the HOA are limited to 20 people. The planner, didn't clear with HOA, sold tickets to a throwdown with a well known DJ who also shared the info on social media. Over 100 kids/young adults showed up and neighborhood families telling them to leave got harassed to the point of calling the cops. Stupid girl got suplexed and incredibly stupid boy almost gets shot in the face.
