It's a sticker to tell everyone that you are rich and smart enough to not live in Orleans Parish.
These same people have 30A stickers on the back of their cars as well
maybe I should get a 70118 or "My house is on Exposition" sticker to rub it in to those MCG poors...

You can get them...it will cost you around $1.5M on the low end...MCG is the most expensive real estate in Louisiana.

Nah bro. It has to do with neighborhood security. If you are driving around neighborhood and don't have a sticker you will attract attention of the neighborhood rent-a-cop. Same thing with Lakewood (solid blue oval stickers).
As well as the "A" on the cars that live in the Audubon security district.
And the cars with the NOCC oak tree sticker on their front windshield to let the guard know they are a member
Jesus Christ you people are something else.

I don't have or was never offered an "A" sticker and I live on the park. MIL lives on Walnut and is not sure of this "A" as well. That entire area is patrolled by uptown security. Maybe the A is for folks in Audubon Place.

"Mitch Can Geaux"
That's what it would mean on my car in New Orleans.

Metairie Club Gardens was created in 1926.
The open green spaces were carved out of pastureland. The beautiful environment combined with the close proximity to the City of New Orleans, made the early suburb very desirable.
Today, Metairie Club Gardens is a tight knit residential community that offers quiet, safe housing convenient to all amenities. A double alley of oak trees invites visitors to come in and welcomes neighbors home. There’s a special feeling of safety and community, as the area is protected by a Security Patrol that is present 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
That's the most triggers filled, racist, white-privileged, cishet shite lord set of paragraphs I've ever read.

Was taking a little google maps tour of the area. At around 49 Pelham street, they actually blur out an entire house. Never seen that before. I've noticed they do it with license plates and addresses sometimes, but an entire house?
