Hold on
Why talking down Jackson ain't that about the battle of new Orleans and the war of 1812
The frick does that have to do with slavery or oppression

He owned slaves and killed a bunch of injuns so he's literally Hitler because nothing else that he did matters.

So is WWII. Does the museum close now?
I'll bet it offends the hell out of German & Japanese Americans. So it should go as well, if one subscribes to Mitch's logic.

If President Andrew Jackson Square is at risk, then George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and FDR monuments are squarely in play.

Of course they are. That's the goal of these progressive groups. To uproot current American culture and replace it with their own.

Coming from someone who perhaps believes that the Civil War root cause wasn't slavery & taking up arms against the US government wasn't treasonous.

If you don't like statues, road names, schools, bases, etc that have names that makes you butt hurt then move out of these states....

Are the people of New Orleans really going to let this happen?

Every single excuse comes back to slavery.
Taxation without representation will be one. Because slaves weren't treated as population, but as property. Handy when owning them, not so handy when it comes to voting.

If we assume this is true, what does this have to do with Andrew Jackson? And once the statues are down and all buildings/streets/colleges/states/cities/etc are renamed, and our money is remade, will liberals finally be content to focus on the present problems? Bc I'd take that deal. But right now, it's just one sudden outrage after another with zero talk of solving any real problems.
