I've caught stuffed animals hanging from beads like that. I agree with your it's common to see items made into a medallion for bread throws.

The real problem here is the girl's racist and/or retarded mother because she is the one who caused a stir about this. She said she had to expose her daughter to the dark side of things and racism and explain to her daughter why she couldn't play with the doll. She said it took her innocence. GTFOH. In addition to what it probably did mentally to that poor girl that just wanted to play with a barbie, if I'm a float rider, I'm not packing any more black items. I'm also avoiding throwing to black people out of fear of being falsely accused of shite.
How sad is it that these race baiters continue to drive people apart like this, with the most fake, made up story I've seen in a long time. This is pathetic on the part of our political "leaders".

Yeah, the most disappointing part about this is our dumbass political leaders clutching their fake-arse pearls and making this into a story when it clearly shouldn't be for anyone with a brain who has attended Mardi Gras before. If this guy was looking to portray what they are trying to imply, it would have looked a lot more obvious than that and he wouldn't have had white dolls too.

Moreno is obviously signaling to the Dems that she is preparing herself for the national stage. Having Harris attend her inauguration was the opening gambit. Sadly, my expectations for her administration are now tanking. She is starting to show up as the same sort of race hustler that Mitch was. Prepare for eight more years of this shite.

I would think her investigation is going to go the route of clearing the krewe as much as the council investigation is going to go the way of vilifying the krewe.
