I've heard she's already shopping out of state.

Sorry guys, but just leave. I know tons of people have love for BR, but just go. I used to think it was worth fighting for, but it really is not. If you can't see the writing on the wall, you will see it soon enough. Same goes for NOLA.

She probably has to look outside of the state, because people in LA know what a dumbass she is. Whomever she hires will be her little puppet. What decent LEO in his right mind would want to work for her?

Nah, she can find someone in state but they all enjoy the pomp and flair of the hiring process. That's why she did what she did with the CAO. They're doing what they think people in this position do but, as usual, they have no clue.

I'm not sure what happened in NOLA, but in BR it was the combination of black block vote, a very weak opponent who many whites in the city limits couldn't make themselves vote for, and white voter apathy in south BR.

A couple of Mothers Day's ago, Kip Holden got up and gave the pastor at First United Methodist the cross he carried for the week and said "I'm not going to give a long talk on Mothers Day. I know you all want to take your Mothers to lunch and I have a date with Mr. Bud Weiser."
And all of us white WASP crackers laughed and realized why we liked Kip and supported him.
