The only way to sleep is on a Kimpton mattress. They are pretty affordable but expensive to ship out. We got two for our guest rooms and considering getting one for master suite in a few years.

Avoid all this mattress firms like the plague. They rip you off big time.

I bought a Zinus off of Amazon. Same concept as Casper, but cheaper.

Tuft and needle /thread.

Seriously. I've recommended it to at least 3-4 other couples and they have all loved it just as much as me and my wife (no pics)

Brooklyn Bedding also makes a good foam mattress. Got a King for around $1200 last fall.

As others have said, with the return policies that these online stores have for their mattresses, there really is nothing to lose. Give it a shot and if you don't like it, you can spend $3-4k in a store.

Thinking most people don't spend 20-30 grand on a mattress. Hastens is great also- but again, big bucks!

Yes!

Going through this right now. Came out of nowhere.

Most likely neither. Probably just hereditary.

I recently switched her food from Canidae to AvoDerm (rated as one of the best for skin and coat - and contains no carrots, something that my girl is highly allergic to).

I've also added Flaxseed to her meals (sprinkled twice a day with food) and I rub her down twice daily with Hydrating Butter (lotion, includes Pomegranate and Acai). This helps with the "dryness."

I also bought Salmon oil to put on her food (twice daily, along with Flaxseed). However, my veterinarian said for me to hold off on this, because she wanted me to try Derma-3 Liquid (essentially the same as Salmon oil, but maybe more potent?). Once I run out of Derma-3, I will start her back on Salmon oil.

Lastly, I use a hydro-cortisone spray if I notice any redness and give her 4 Benadryl per meal.

All this and she's starting to get better.

Let me know if you need anything.

EDIT ...

You can actually buy Derma-3 Liquid online. It is not necessarily a prescription.

Got a Leesa online that I love. It was between that and the Casper but you can't go wrong either way. I would not recommend buying anything in the stores for three times the price

Right, and a Hastens mattress can range up to $150,000.... for a mattress (?) :

LINK

I will say buy the absolute best you can afford. I paid what I thought was crazy money, $2700, in '94 which by the consumer inflation calculator would now be $4450. They say replace a mattress every 7 years but I swear it still feels like the day I bought it. I do periodically have it cleaned. A great mattress is one thing worth stretching the budget for.
