I will be going to Masters for first time in 2016. Any suggestions on where to stay and any courses nearby worth playing while there. Thanks

We've stayed in Atlanta and in Greenville SC. There really isn't a convenient big city nearby.
Get a chair and set it on 18 in the morning then walk around all day. When you come back as the last groups are finishing on 18 your chair will still be there waiting on you.
