What exactly about that video leads you to believe it's fake?

That's not an alligator, it's a dinosaur.
ETA: Guess I wasn't the first one to think that.

They unknowingly just put a target on that gators head. Within a couple weeks of the news story of that one eyed monster that was at Lake Martin some a-hole went in one night and shot him and left him. It was almost a guarantee to see him during summer and spring sun bathing in his usual spot right against the fence. An absolute monster of a gator.

Fwiw I have seen bigger.
Eta: that old summbitch sitting in front of Paul's cafe back in the 90's put this gator to shame.

This one appears to be on a ranch on private land though? I'm guessing its as much of a pet they feed as anything. I doubt the public has access to it with all those peeps looking like they paid to take pictures of it.

It was at the Circle B Bar Ranch a county owned Park and wild life preserve. Believe me it is not fake and it is not the only one. The ranch butts up to the Piece river and that's one of the prime Gator hunting areas in central Florida.

Stop the presses, large alligator in Florida.

Yeah, but for a board representing a state also known for alligators, I'll venture to say most of the respondents, including me, will say that's a damn big gator.
Funny thing is, being from LA, I've seen the biggest gators of my life in TX. If anyone here has ever been, they can attest, Choke Canyon Reservoir in South Texas has some of the biggest gators you'll ever see. They grow well there, and there is no hunting season, so giant gators are every where. I've fished there a bunch of times and have seen multiple 12+ footers. They don't hold a candle to this gator though.
