I've made no comment on if it was odd or not.

What does this mean or insinuate then:

Do we know for sure there was no advanced planning?

I requested a lake view last time I was in Chicago. Not sure why requesting a view of the strip in Vegas is a red flag, sure beats a view of not the strip

Why in the world would that be an odd request?

I've requested a room with a certain view in Vegas before.

I would imagine this has been planned for months, if not years.

I rarely get out of my trailer park, correct. Sometimes I run over to the Valero for cigs and a pound of chicken livers but that's about it.

You think people booking suites on short notice in Vegas is unusual?

Yea. I'm staying at Madalay Bay in January and I requested a specific room.

Probably take a few days and surveillance footage and investigation to get a final number of shots that guy fired.

Or twenty minutes counting empty casings?

Right! It's obvious that some folks never get out of the trailer park! I've requested strip view rooms in Vegas for the past 15 years. They get hundreds of these requests per day.

I won't go so far as the trailer park comment, but I am surprised how many haven't been to Vegas.

Everything this guy did is NOT STRANGE in Vegas. No stranger than asking for beachview at a gulf resort or Carribean. Bringing multiple bags is NOT unusual. People stay for days in Vegas and require a LOT of clothes. From golf, to drinking, to formal dining, to a club, to just drinking and gambling, to formal wear for the many weddings held daily in Vegas, to swimsuits for the pools. You pack everything! Add to that it is a 500 room hotel. That person at the front desk doesn't remember you from any other swinging dick.

I think that people who say this have never actually fired a gun. And I'm not saying that to be cool or an a-hole. I don't know what kind of setup the guy had, but he wasn't just unloading a fully automatic rifle semi-accurately at 350-400 yrds for approximately 10 minutes. That's basically impossible. And it speaks volumes about the ignorance about guns in this country. People have seen too many action movies and spy shows, none of which translate to real life. And what's worse is they believe these movies and shows with 100% confidence and blistering ignorance.

If you don’t think that was full automatic it speaks to your ignorance. Go watch some of the videos of the event and enlighten yourself.

It goes beyond that, most hotels have tons of classes of rooms. Strip view, strip front, etc. are not just requests, they are choices you have to make.

Do we even know how much of a "suite" this was? It looks like there were a bunch of floors above it.

You can do what he did at most hotels and his "actions" beforehand would've caused no alarm. It's obvious he planned this out to great detail.

When people aren't looking for suspicious behavior it usually goes unnoticed.

I can't tell the difference, but there were several people last night in agreement that it sounded like a bumpfire mechanism of some sort and not a manufactured fully automatic weapon.

The wife’s photos showed her in the Middle East last year. Usually women don’t go overseas without their husbands so it’s safe to assume he was there as well.

Couldn't it also just be possible this guy had no ISIS connection or political stance, and just wanted to see people go down with him? Some reports he was going through a divorce... so he easily could have just been in a tailspin and planned to off himself, so he chose to take people out with him?

I think that's the most probable thing, to be honest. Anything else really sounds absurd to me. Libs wouldn't go buy these types of weapons. Rebs wouldn't off their own. This guy doesn't fit any sort of mold of who would carry out something for ISIS, either.

Probably just a depressed and demented individual who wanted to see the world burn with him.
