That's my point. I'm trying to connect the dots from the presser. The sheriff said he shot for 9 minutes and then insinuated there was some type of contact with the shooter. He does say whether or not the shooter continued to shoot after the contact, so I'm assuming he killed himself after he shot the guard.
Like I said, the alternative theory would be the shooter continued to shoot for nearly and hour while waiting on SWAT, and I can't imagine they let that happen.

I haven't gone back and listened to the police radio broadcast, but I thought he was still shooting when the cop showed up and saw the security guard. If not, the security guard stopped the whole thing

Tiger fred, if you go back and re read my posts I never said he used that. I'll see if I can copy and paste the post for you so you don't have to get all worn out trying to find it.

So they can either
a) buy one
b) easily make one
Like I said, I don't care either way. Ban it. I don't own any AR's. But it will literally do nothing to prevent people from doing the exact same thing.
The ease of access to a piece of metal (or wood) will do nothing to prevent a mass murderer from committing mass murder.
The technology is out there. The know how is out there. It doesn't make a difference.
The only thing is the people who use them for recreation can't use them. Big whoop.

Yep saw a few of those in the ER. Had one DOA who's top of the skull was open like a box lid from a roof of the mouth shot. Dripped brains all over the floor.
