Katie Domingue of Carencro was at the 7 p.m. showing of "Train Wreck" with her fiance', Joshua Doggett. About 20 minutes into the movie, Domingue said, she heard a loud noise.
"We heard a loud pop we thought was a firecracker," she said.
She saw "an older white man" standing up and shooting down, not in her direction.
"He wasn't saying anything. I didn't hear anybody screaming either," Domingue said.
She heard about six shots, then she and Doggett ran to the nearest exit, leaving behind her shoes and purse.

I carry every day because I know that getting rid of guns will never happen.
Too many assholes that don't have the right to carry are carrying illegally to do me and innocent people harm.
If I'm going to die, I'm going down with at least a fight if that type of situation presents itself.
But like I said, there is literally no way to end gun violence ANYWHERE without the total removal of guns.
If guns are accessible by law-abiding citizens like myself then they are accessible by those who intend to commit crimes with them.
With the good comes the bad.
Hopefully I'm prepared enough for the bad.

Guns have been around in the USA for our whole history. Why just in the past 6 have the numbers risen? It's obviously not just related to guns and is something else.
Why not focus on the issue instead of attack guns?

I agree 100%. I presented this argument several weeks ago and was told I was trying to ban guns and that law abiding citizens played no role in illegal guns getting on the streets.
