They've been to Lafayette before, well technically Youngsville.
Really? What is there to protest in Youngsville besides cookie cutter neighborhoods?
They had a soldier killed in Iraq. I thought it was around Gonzales but maybe not. They said they were going protest. That patriot biker group showed up and stood on the streets around the service and the WBC ended up posting somewhere they had something else come up and never left their hotel room.

Your description matches Gonzales.

So, he's more than likely been through Baton Rouge. Could've been a BR theater just as easily as Lafayette.

And again that is what they want you to do. Look I understand the emotion and I understand that they are scums of the Earth. But you are actually dealing with highly intelligent people who know their rights, who want more national attention when attacked, and will sue the every living shite out of you when their rights are violated.

Dear Terror
A Letter from Lafayette, Louisiana
You showed your evil face to us last night when you senselessly acted out. You, terror, flexed your muscles in an attempt to intimidate us. But you see, this time you picked on the wrong people. You picked on a group that doesn’t respond in that fearsome way you may have expected.
When you looked into our eyes, we started to run. But to your surprise, we ran right at you. You initiated our built in fight response. You caused us, a city known as the happiest in America, to unite in a way that you couldn’t have expected. This happened immediately within that room, but it also started throughout our community.
While our nation fights the evils of racism and inequality, our city will lead by example. Whites and blacks will stand together. Christians and atheists will fight alongside each other. Young and old will stand as a barrier around our city.
You put us in the fire with the expectation of burning us. Instead, we were strengthened. We do not simply possess American Resolve. We ARE American Resolve. You did what you thought you needed to do, terror.
Well, you better run because we are doing what we know we NEED to do.
Jillian Johnson and Mayci Breaux won’t simply live on in our memories. They will live on in our spirit as we honor them by destroying you.
We will mourn. We will memorialize. We will lay flowers.
Then we will rise up and show America how weak and pitiful you really are. You simply don’t stand a chance.
Yours truly,
Lafayette

In addition, a John Russell Houser from Phenix City, Alabama, is listed as a member of a group called the Tea Party Nation. However, KATC could not confirm if this John Russell Houser is one in the same with the shooter.
Really?
fricking really?
That's how blatantly you are going to try to reach to make political hay out of this?
"We have records that there is someone with this name being involved in a Tea Party group, however we can't confirm. This uncertainty of it being valid won't stop us from sharing this possible connection with you however. In fact, we probably won't even waste the time trying to confirm as we have accomplished our goal."
Well why don't ya'll just keep digging and tell us if he was in the Boy Scouts while you are at it?

I don't see how he could possibly purchase a gun legally. Didn't he have an arson conviction? Didn't he spend time in a mental facility. A felony conviction doesn't allow a person to even touch a gun for the rest of their life in the few cases I know of. Also, a background check would turn up his mental problems. That is a no-no too.
He bought it legally, stop the complete denial. Wherever he bought it failed to do a complete background check, that's on them. The gun didnt materialize out of thin air in his hand. Do you think a pawn shop in Phenix City, Alabama is going to to run thorough background checks on every yokel who comes in?

You're giving them way too much credit, although you get the opportunism part right. The WBC people are a 100% trailer trash attention whores. They attract recovering drug addicts and incest products from Kansas, They wouldn't exist if people would stop giving them legitimacy by acknowledging their existence. On that count you are right. They prosper on the fact that we even breathe in their direction.

There's no such thing as a "complete" background check. Every FFL (federal firearms licensee) uses the FBI NICS system, of which the states are divided into full point of contact, partial POC, and non POC. Alabama is non-POC, along with 30 other states. He would've gotten that gun mo matter what, ignoring the law that you have to be a resident of the state you're buying a handgun from. May have been different had Alabama had a partial POC system where they did state checks for handguns
We agree on pretty much everything except guns. I sell them, though, so I'm biased.
