That much is true.

I'm against gun control for the record.

Cue the "you're a liar" posts.

Do Australia? Or overall gun crime? Guaranteed those statistics in that graph are extremely carefully constructed. What is considered a “mass public shooting”?

don’t think anyone has ever said shootings only happen here. Morons throw out that ridiculous straw man every time this comes up.

I’m not going to call you a liar. All I know of you is what you post here. Also, we agree on gun control.

Do Australia?
Sure

They concluded, "Although gun buybacks appear to be a logical and sensible policy that helps to placate the public's fears, the evidence so far suggests that in the Australian context, the high expenditure incurred to fund the 1996 gun buyback has not translated into any tangible reductions in terms of firearm deaths."

They have had zero mass shootings. You will twist and turn the numbers however can be done. Bottom line is the OP is obviously celebrating this happening because it fits his political agenda. But the same people chastise the left for “rushing to make mass shootings political”

Do you think it’s possible that Australia could “twist” their reporting of mass shootings, since we’re talking about twisting?

Two sides, same coin.

Read to the bottom of it.

quote:

Evidence suggests that the number of firearms reported in Australia has in fact increased since 1996. But after gun ownership laws were tightened, the country has experienced far fewer mass shootings since 1996—perhaps none at all, under some definitions—in contrast to the U.S. which has recorded more than 100.

Harry Stiles still going to take the stage, though. So that's a plus.

Umm, I hate to break it to you but…

Yeah, they changed the definition of 'mass shootings' so they could get the stat they wanted. Britain did something similar. They don't record shooting deaths at all unless a criminal conviction is made. Just to make it LOOK like they achieved something.

Now who's not caring about the victims.?

Here you go. Bonus coverage for the 'mere presence of guns' argument.
