I love Colorado, I just wouldn't want to live where there is an actual winter, I'll visit but those sinus infections are horrible for me in the winter.

If you cross into Maryland from VA by missing an exit with a gun, you’re a felon. I don’t care how nice anything that is not Baltimore claims to be.

Colorado is not far behind and is full of trannies. I met one that got top surgery 20, yes, 20, years ago.

Nobody gives a damn about weed anymore, except it stinks.

The problem is your state is run by Denver.

I just moved to Colorado Springs a month ago. I've always wanted to live here. Grew up in Abita Springs, LA. I love it here so far. Beautiful mountains, clean city, very laid back work culture, outstanding benefits, and the schools seem way better. Groceries seem cheaper, gas is about the same, everything seems to cost less or the same except for housing. Healthcare and insurance is cheaper, so are utilties (not sure about winter). There's a park or open space every other block. Very nice. Some of the main streets near downtown remind me of old Covington (i.e. Jahncke St).

Seems like alot of folks here are from other parts of the country. Downtown has a small slow paced western city vibe. It seems like that theres alot of retired military that liked it out here and decided to stay. Theres been alot of growth, but its sprawl. And traffic on the surface level streets really isn't that bad.

Compared to what I was paying to live in St. Tammany and what Im paying here, and with quality of life in consideration, so far I'm pretty damn pleased and excited about being here. Everyone has been very welcoming. There's pockets of homeless downtown, but I guess thats every city. And it really doesnt seem very leftist here at all, its a very good mix of people. Good amount of God and country loving people here. I suppose that may not be the case in Denver. If all goes well I hope to eventually live around Pagosa Springs or SW Colorado.

The food absolutely sucks, so I'm glad I can cook! The weather has been outstanding. I barely run the A/C and the back patio door is open most of the day.

Eastern shore and the MD panhandle are basically two different states. The panhandle is quiet and peaceful but the major downside is that the state politics are dominated by the wealthy, secular, and highly educated DC commuters who live in Montgomery County.

Job opportunities are infinitely better on the eastern shore but the trade off is that the COL is higher and you have to deal with the heavily blue political climate that is DC.

Annapolis is a seaport college town with unique vibes but I don’t really know much about it besides the fact that the Naval Academy is based there.

It sounds like you know very little about either place.
Maryland has very regions with very different geography and demographics. Western Maryland borders WVA and has mountains (even skiing) but the demographic isn’t much different from the eastern shore which is mostly farms. The DC suburbs of Montgomery County are way different than the other two places.
I live in Colorado half the year and it’s not nearly as in your face liberal as this board would have you believe. I have a house in Idaho and Boise is way more liberal than the front range of Colorado.
Personally, I like the geography and weather better in Colorado than Maryland.

Annapolis is overrrated and surrounded by ghetto. It’s become Baltimore south with all the nightly shootings.

I’m about to move to Denver. Will report back in a few years.

Well Maryland just unconstitutionally banned semi auto guns, so not them.

It would be no contest between those two states, Colorado wins easily.

I am sure it has its nice areas, but I can't think of any reason I would want to live in Maryland.

Annapolis might be the nicest Capitol city in America.

Legal weed would probably be the least of my concerns. If anything I’d choose a state that still bans it. Not that I care who smokes it, I just don’t want to smell the foul shite.

Colorado is purple. Places like Colorado Springs are very red and places like Boulder are very Blue. More rural places are conservative, libertarian or just hippies.

Maryland is cold in winter, hot/humid in summer, expensive, tons of “culture”, tons of snobby over educated liberals, and next to DC.

Might be the last state I want to live in.

I have a couple of friends that live outside New London MD and you would be surprised at the area. She is an attorney in the city, and he is a custom furniture maker and takes care of their farm and horses. You won't see any "culture" the area votes R and it is in gorgeous rolling hills.

The thing that struck me about Denver when I visited is that it was just a lot of dudes. Not many women, or children.
