This almost looks like once of those bridges falling that was scheduled for take down with explosives. I can't believe it came down that easily and the bridge had no fenders.

I explained in the other thread why the full continuous span of a through truss bridge will come down when a single support is removed.

That’s a major interstate bridge. Imagine if the Baton Rouge bridge or the twin spans in New Orleans just were gone overnight.

Probably sees way more traffic than either of them too. Whoever runs that cargo ship is fricked.
